Private health care under the microscope

Out-of-pocket or gap costs are a huge issue in Australia’s private health sector.

They make people wonder why they bother with private health insurance when they have to spend hundreds or sometimes thousands of dollars beyond what they get back.

Four Corners and the Health Report are investigating out-of-pocket expenses and their impact on our health system, and indeed you.

If you have a bill for cancer treatment, urology, orthopaedics or eye surgery – or indeed any other speciality that got you confused, angry or upset, ABC’s Four Corners program would like a copy of your bill.

You can do this by completing a simple form that will take you a few minutes to fill out here.

Your identity won’t be passed to anyone else, but Four Corners may contact you for more information.
